Role purpose:
Manage retail channels (Vodafone stores, VMS, ADVMS) and grow customer and revenue market share. Key purpose of the role includes –
- Increasing footfall, conversion-to-customers and sales / footfall at the retail channels
- Increasing profitability of Vodafone stores, VMS, ADVMS through innovative sales and revenue maximization programs
Enhance customer experience across all Vodafone retail outlets
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
Sales:
- Achieve sales target for all products (Voice-Postpaid/ prepaid, data, VAS, handsets etc.) at stores, VMS, AD-VMS
- Facilitate roll-out of Vodafone retail outlets – Stores, VMS, AD-VMS (incl. selection of partners, location etc.)
- Ensure and monitor quality of acquisition through the retail channel
Revenue:
- Achieve revenue targets at stores, VMS and AD-VMS
Profitability :
- Assist Store in-charges, VMS and ADVMS channel partners manage key operating costs – store operating cost, people cost etc.
Customer Service:
- Manage churn and achieve customer satisfaction for walk-in customers at retail outlets
People:
- Oversee store in-charges, VMS and ADVMS leads
- Keep employee-retention and motivation levels high through regular reviews of
- Achieve revenue targets at stores, VMS and AD-VMSperformance of both on-roll and off-roll employees
- Identify gaps in performance of immediate
- team and ensure training to bridge the same
Marketing :
- Work with Marketing Team to recommend marketing, branding and promotion activities
HSW Compliance
- Ensure that the HSW norms
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
- Understanding of organized retail management best practices and customer relationship management
- Leadership & people management skills
Experience
- 4-5 years of service experience in retail industry / consumer goods / auto/ telecom
- P&L management skills
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
- Essential : Graduation
- Desired : Full – time Post – Graduation in business management/MBA
Budget owned:
Financial (Limits / Mandates Etc.)
- Ownership of revenue targets (through footfalls and sales/ footfall) for stores, VMS, ADVMS in the zone
- Accountability for total zonal budget
- allocated to retail channel – cost control (operating cost)
Non – Financial
- Monthly reviews and planning for all stores, VMS and ADVMS- with regular updates to the Zonal Head
- Team conflict resolution
- Coaching and training to store in-charges, and VMS and AD-VMS franchisee owners
- Staying abreast with market developments, customer preferences, retail outlook, company policies, procedures, sales process and legislation
Key performance indicators
- Achievement of key targets (Revenue, Profitability) at an overall retail channel level
- Execution of strategies and plans at an overall level across stores / VMS/ ADVMS
- Development and retention of team members in stores/ VMS/ ADVMS
