The Company was formed in 1967 to manufacture a wide range of cables and electric wires. Since its inception, the company has grown in leaps and bounds. It commands 65% of the market share in Uganda and also helps meet the needs of neighbouring countries.
Supported by its well trained and experienced personnel, the Cable Corporation Limited is now looking at new market opportunities and is diversifying into the manufacture of cross linked poly-ethylene (XLPE) insulated cables.

Qualifications: B-Tech,MBA (Prodn./Electrical Engg with MBA is must Manufacturing sector experience Production of cables & conductors both LV and MV using XLPE technology)
Experience: 5 Years
Age: 58
Profile of General Manager-Cable for Cable Engineering:
A person who has experience of production of cables and conductors both LV and MV using newer technologies like XLPE. Probably someone in their early forties would be ideal, with a Production / electrical engineering degree. Commercial experience is also a must, as the candidate will have to take over all commercial dealings including marketing and sales. So an engineer with an MBA would be preferred. Knowledge in EPC (Engineering Procurement & Construction) is an advantage.
The candidate should be very articulate, with a good command of English, should be personable, adaptable and also show initiative. He will have to drive the growth of Cable Corporation
