Assistant Manager – HR – India

. Major Functions

II. Basic Duties & Responsibilities [Time Spent%: 100 ]

Performance Management System: [Time Spent%: 30] 

  • Maping people productivity vs expected
  • Providing guidance to staff on performance management, including conducting periodical orientation to the process.
  • Managing the performance appraisal cycle, including setting up of objectives, mid-term review and final appraisal and ratings.
  • Designing a career path for all positions in then organization.
  • Managing talent retention and succession planning.

Training and Development: [Time Spent%: 20]

  • Setting-up and conducting training need analysis.
  • Lead the training plan and training calendar for specific period
  • Map Productivity Improvement post intervention

Recruitment: [Time Spent%: 15]

  • Planning and executing the recruitment strategy to meet the staffing requirements of the organization.
  • Liaising with recruitment firms to avail quality recruitment services.
  • Facilitating the entire recruitment cycle and participating in the selection process.
  • Designing and facilitating induction / orientation programmes.

HR Policies and Systems[Time Spent%: 15]

  • Reviewing HR Policies and practices to ensure they are in compliance with the legal and regulatory framework.
  • Implementing HR Policies across the organization.
  • Ensure all company policies and procedures are up to date in line with current employment law. Ensure line managers are up to date with changes to any policies.

Compensation and Benefits: [Time Spent%: 10]

  • Reviewing and bench marking staff salaries and benefits.
  • Managing salary, training and staff welfare budgets.
  • Coordinating with the Finance Division at appropriate stages, for implementing salary scales.
  • Planning and implementing annual salary increments.

Legal and Statutory Responsibilities [Time Spent%: 10]

  • Adhering to statutory compliances.
  • Liaising with the Legal Advisor for statutory and legal issues relating to employment terms and conditions of staff.
  • Keeping management updated with the latest statutory requirements, relating to the employment of staff.
  • Managing the submission of all statutory requirements(PF, ESI, Tax returns) to the government authorities on time.

General Responsibilities [Time Spent%: XX]

  • Performs any duty assigned by the line Manager
  • Processes any cross training as mandated by the line Manager
  • Alternates for colleagues when requested by the Management

III. Minimum Requirements At Joining:

  • 5-7 years

o Work Experience: 

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in HR function.
  • Prior experience of working in the Food industry / FMCG sector would be an advantage.

o Education Level 

  • Post Graduate in Business Management from a Premier Institute

o Education:MBA with a specialization in Human Resources Management.
